About Me

I am an attorney by profession, a skeptic by nature, and a Unitarian-Universalist. I have a Bachelor's degree in physics and a Master's in astronomy to go along with my law degree. I am happily married to a well respected Biblical scholar, April DeConick and we have an incredible little boy named Alex. April has her own blog "The Forbidden Gospels" and has a great time with it. We have noticed it has become a neat log of her thoughts. It looked like fun, so I decided to play with one too. I have an avid interest in Religion, but not much room for belief in the supernatural and I spend much time thinking about how to reconcile these two aspects of myself. So much of this journal will be about that. I hope to have a nice time trying to figure out what I actually believe and how to incorporate that into my religious life. I am always interested in hearing about how others have worked it out for themselves too. I have been a Unitarian-Universalist since the mid-nineties and currently attend services at Houston's First Unitarian-Universalist.
