|Favorite Movies||Snow White. No, just kidding, though I did like that film... The best film I ever saw was an Icelandic adaptation of "Tristan and Isolde", which was entitled "Shadow of the Raven". It was set in the Middle Ages when Iceland was moving from Norse mythology to a belief in Christianity. "Shadow of the Raven" is closely followed by "The Naked Prey", starring Cornell Wilde. This movie was about a white hunter who takes other white people out on safari in Africa. The other white people manage to offend the natives, who end up chasing Cornell Wilde across Africa, trying to kill him. Though there's little dialogue, the movie doesn't need it, managing visually to artfully convey why the native Africans are so upset, and even justified in wanting to hunt down the safari guide.|
