| Introduction | hi. first of all, the reason for my alias luciebelle... when i started out, nearly 10 years ago, i had a partner. her last name is tedeschi and mine is oelfke. now close your eyes and try to pronounce and/or spell either. pretty clear why we needed a new name. so we jotted down a long list of what we thought to be cute, catchy names, luciebelle was #5 on the list. amanda's (tedeschi) husband who is italian saw our list and said, "ahh bella luce very clever." as it turns out bella luce means beautiful light so very loosely we translate luciebelle as light beautiful...no better name for a photography duo. amanda & john moved to rhode island a couple years later and had two adorable boys. you can see photos at amandatedeschi.com i, however, am still here! a new york city based celebration and event photographer. i love love love my job and am grateful everyday that i get to do this for a living. my work has been published in grace ormonde wedding style magazine, the new york times as well as several online publications. if you're getting married, having a bar/bat mitzvah, party, gala, event of any kind...then i'm hoping you'll pick me to photograph it. |
