| Introduction | Hello, I am Mary Jane Booth, of Youthful Expressions Studio, a school for the artistic enrichment of kids, ages 7-14. YEStudio was conceived when Cindy McDannel, my daughter, wanted to find an art class for herself and Kassidi, my granddaughter. There was nothing available locally. Since some other significant, major changes had occurred in our lives, it seemed like the perfect time to make something happen. YEStudio was our way of filling a broad gap in the art community. In November of 2007, we set up our classes at Springbrook Parks and Rec. Center. We started out very successfully. People were clamoring for cultural opportunities for their children. Our school for artistic enrichment has slowly built through the ensuing years. We now conduct classes at FAB's ArtSpace, in downtown Maryville. We invite more students to come to us for fun, educational art projects that explore the mediums of charcoal, pastels, watercolor, acrylics, colored pencils, mixed medium and sculpture. This blog is for and about our past, present and future students. |
