Introduction A founding columnist of LA's Artillery Magazine , I write frequently about the New York Art scene. My column, "Private Eye," interviews contemporary art collectors, pursuing an insider's view of the art world. My husband, Wayne Coe , is still an LA painter, although he has spent the past year creating his Manhattan Sand Painting Project on the streets of New York. We have a studio at 3rd & 3rd in Brooklyn, and live with our 3 kids in a Victorian house in the country with an Art Barn out back.
Interests art, writing, parenting

Favorite Music Every band I love - the Clash, Joy Division - has Beatles DNA.
Favorite Books Still love Fitzgerald, Austen, Woolf, Whitman, the Romantics, Twain, Trollope - I go back and dip into them over and over, and they are still relevant. Thoreau. You can whistle and steam can whistle, so why do you sing in the shower?
