| Introduction | When Life tries to hand you lyme, you make "lemonade"! I grew up with that old saying. "When life hands you lemons..." yeah, that one. Its intent was to teach us as children that no matter the heavy blows that life would deal us...the good, the bad and yes, the ugly; we should smile, add some sugar and try to turn the situation into something we could serve up as palatable. I still find it to be a good life lesson and can fit it into my last fifteen years of career and rotten health. When the diagnosis of lyme came in, my world hit the wall at around 103 mph. Like the idiot I was..I kept going though..and the disease took its toll...so am I whining, you ask? Naaah! Some of you know the strange sense of humor I have been blessed with and I MUST say, it has come in quite handy these past several years. A coping mechanism, one might guess. Possibly so, I'd admit, at least, in part to that. But mostly,these days I walk around (oops, I keep forgetting) I roll around or hobble about on my canes, depending on the day...and the terrain....tongue in cheek... and now...I'm thinking it'd just be such a HUGE cosmic joke to paint a picture of a lemonade stand.... |

I eat it. I sleep it. I live it. I breathe it. It is not just my business. It "IS" me. Without it, I do not exist. |
| Favorite Movies | A movie baby. My first movie was presented to me in the theater at the tender age of 3. And I sat in that seat as still as a statue!! Mesmerized! I have been ever since. This is why I am a screen writer to this day. To be a part of this process is MAGIC to me, even if in only a small part. I breathe for it. That story telling process is what I live for. It is my life. |
| Favorite Music | I adore ALL types of music. From classical to 70's rock to Broadway to even "OPERA!!!!" I have a wide variety of tastes when it comes to music. Very much a TRUE an original GLEEK!!! Just not much of one you want to hear sing. hahahha! |
| Favorite Books | ALL the classics!! And any book for that matter. I'll absorb them like a dry sponge! I love the smell of books, the "feel" of the paper on my fingertips as I turn the pages...I breathe through the entire sensory experience of the book itself so much so that "reading" the book is absolute dessert! ICE CREAM AND CAKE to me...without the guilt of calories. ;) |
You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?
I'm WAY too hard on myself for fame to get in there and blow my head up...it's the music for that "hit" that worries...I'd better learn HOW to write ANY music much less music worth listening to....HAHAHHAHAHHA
