About me

Gender Female
Industry Arts
Occupation Cartoonist
Introduction All my characters are usually drawn naked to emphasize an emotional vulnerability and a certain human naivety which we all share, regardless status, age, education, gender, income etc. In that sense the nudity is not meant literally, but is an inevitable symbol for the concerns of my art and can't be covered up. The exception is the occasional geisha or maiko, as these creatures are all dolled up in order to hide any human nature and are supposed to portray a superhuman femininity, so in that case the outfit is the whole point of it. You may have guessed it: my work has a very feminist approach to it.
Interests I am a cartoonist and part-time ceramist. After almost being kicked out of the Bavarian ceramic school of those days of the early 90's for making a humpty-dumpty flower vase I fled the country and ended up, after working in a number of media (ceramic included), as a cartoonist and with a nomadic life-style, settling at least once a year for some time in Japan.
