About Me
I began my journey in knitting when I was in college. I worked at a call center (obnoxious I know) and I was so bored with just sitting there and making calls that I decided that I need something to do with my hands. So I went home one night most resolute that I would teach myself to knit. I drove home to my cold little basement apartment with a Michael’s bag and my grey tabby and got on the internet to search for a “teach yourself to knit!” Hours later with squinty eyes and stiff fingers I was bumbling my way through my first scarf. I sold the very first ragged looking scarf I ever made to my Canadian hockey player friend Ryan who wore the ugly thing proudly, bless his heart. Before I really knew what was happening I was selling them to other people I worked with, so it was like I was making double money on the clock (with the consent of my boss of course). Trying to pull myself away from the world of rectangular knitting has been quite the feat, but after all there are only so many scarves that one person should ever own. I just take everything I’m handed one stitch at the time and we’ll see where the pattern leads me.
