Introduction | I was born in the Australian outback, but grew up in Melbourne. I spent my schooldays daydreaming about being a famous writer or opera singer. I moved to London, fell in love with an architect. We married in 1985. I was not good enough to be an opera singer, but turned my knowledge about opera into a novel. Before moving to Cornwall I was a member of the Richmond Writers Circle and The National Archives book club. |
