About Me
Hello - my name is John and I work as the Diving Safety Officer for the New England Aquarium. As the Diving Safety Officer (DSO) I overseee all the diving activities here at NEAq. There are over 4,000 dives conducted by NEAq divers every year - both in aquarium exhibits and all over the world.
I also work with a small team of diving aquarists in the Giant Ocean Tank feeding and caring for the 600+ critters that call the GOT home.
I've been SCUBA diving for twenty years and am a dive instructor for several agencies, but I find I learn something new every day.
My job definitely keeps me busy and I never know what new experience is waiting for me at the beginning of each day.
