Introduction	Welcome to WCP. I'm Ferree, and I maintain this blog out of gratitude to the Lord for how He pulled me through such a dark time in my own life. I was widowed the day before my 44th birthday when my husband died instantly of a brain aneurysm. I had three teenagers and a lifetime ahead of me, but I sure didn't want it without Bruce! Being a widow was a total shock! God pulled me through with encouragement, role models and hope from the Bible. I've since remarried, but I've found that most women share one big fear--being widowed. I hope this blog can provide a great community to help us all, and that many may be able to someday look back and see God's loving faithfulness, good intent and plan for their life.

Favorite Books	Way too many to list, but here's a couple I'd take to a deserted island: The Great Divorce and The Chronicles of Narnia, both by C.S.Lewis; The Velveteen Rabbit; The Bible, of course; and the latest treasure--God On Mute, by Pete Greig.
