Introduction Maryann Cocca-Leffler is the Author and Illustrator of over 60 books for children. Maryann’s books, Janine and Janine and the Field Day Finish, (A 2016 ILA Teacher’s Pick) were inspired by her daughter, Janine. Together they have developed a corresponding website, with a mission to help change public perception of children with disabilities. (www.JaninesParty.com). (2020 Abrams).Her Scholastic “LET IT” Seasons Series has sold over two million copies. "Bus Route to Boston" (Boyds Mills Press) is the book closest to her heart as it was inspired by her childhood growing up in Everett, MA. Maryann has a BFA in illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She now lives on the coast of Maine.
