Randal Mason

About Me

An independent trainer, facilitator, and fundraising consultant, Randal Mason has over 15 years of experience working in and supporting the nonprofit sector. Previously, he was the Director of the Civil Society Division at IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board), where he supervised a diverse portfolio of international development programs, including NGO strengthening, women's empowerment, and technology initiatives. Prior to that, he was the Director of IREX's Development Division, where oversaw the organization's government and foundation fundraising initiatives. A seasoned grant writer, he has been instrumental in winning awards from USAID, the US Department of State, Carnegie Corporation of New York, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, among others. Randal has a deep understanding of all elements of the proposal process from research to writing and budgeting. He excels at leading proposal teams and brings a fresh, creative approach to program design.
