| Introduction | The Department of History was started in the year 1979 with 5 faculty members. Today the Department has 12 faculty members and 5 office staff. At present there are 65 MA students on rolls. So far 50 M.Phil and 50 Ph.D Degrees have been awarded. Presently there are 40 research scholars in the department. Most of them are getting fellowships from UGC, ICHR, UPE and other funding agencies. |
