Introduction I'm a working, running and swimming mom of three who has a serious quilt problem. I used to be a teacher until I realized there were professions out there that enabled one to go to the bathroom WHENEVER YOU WANT. Since I was pregnant when I had this revelation, I promptly quit teaching and switched to engineering. I've never regretted this.

Please describe how you could take the peel off an apple all in one go:

This is a skill I learned from my grandmother. I take a paring knife and angle it against the apple to get roughly a 1" chunk of peel. Starting at the top and applying constant pressure, you rotate the apple until the peel is all off. It takes all of about 30 seconds and is a good skill to have when you love apple pies. And apple anything, really.
