About Me
Joe is Chief Marketing and Development Officer for Girl Scouts of Western Washington; Board member for Marketing Communications Executive International (MCEI) Seattle; member of the Northwest Science Writers Association; and an adjunct marketing instructor at The University of Washington, Seattle University and City University of Seattle. Previously he was Vice President of Marketing for Pacific Science Center in Seattle, Director of Strategic Communications and Media Relations at Washington State University, and was a Communications Instructor at Bellevue and Tacoma Community Colleges. He has consulted over 75 companies nationwide and has been quoted in "Stories Trainers Tell" published by Jossey-Bass and "Victory in Our Schools" by former Seattle School Superintendent John Stanford. Joe’s journalism background includes managing newsrooms in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle where his newsroom was awarded the national Edward R. Murrow award for Outstanding Journalism. He has an MA Degree in Speech from California State University Hayward, a BA degree from California State University Sacramento, and has studied at Fordham and St. John's University.
