About Me

Debra Beach is an Educator, Designer, Consultant, and Business Owner. Ms. Beach is co-owner of Flugga-Beach LLC, a business specializing in Instructional Design, Web, Video, and Interactive media. Currently she is pursuing her PhD in Instructional Design and Online Learning and hopes to be ABD by the Summer 2009. In her work she serves as an instructional design consultant to business and academia. The focus of the consulting is to help universities improve their online offerings and to aid business in improving their training. In her work for universities, Debra has researched and formulated standards for online course curriculum, formulated online instructional standards, created copyright policy interactive tutorials, and managed a Technology Enhanced Classroom Support Program. She has a keen interest in simplifying presentation methods to aid in learning. Posts and resources presented on this blog are in relation to her sincere interest in learning (i.e. - the assimilation, retention, and building of knowledge), training, communication, technology, design and ubiquitous computing as it applies to instruction.
