Awards: SC State Archives Adaptive Restoration of Historic Facility for the longest operating public school in SC; National Wilderness Society Environmental Women of Action for SC; SC Wildlife Federation Education Conservationist; Teresa & Bob Apgar Faith, Hope, and Charity Community Service; Florida Trust for Historic Preservation Individual Achievement; Florida MainStreet Outstanding Economic Restructuring Program; Florida League of Cities City Citizen of the Year. Featured in two national TV documentaries, “Conserving America: The Rivers,” and “When a Tree Falls.” Freelanced for papers and magazines, placed 2nd in two national writing contests, authored five books. Restored over a dozen historic properties.
