Introduction I was born in Minnesota, two minutes before my twin sister Laura. My sister and I were preemies and started experiencing life in an incubator. We grew up in a middle class home on Lake Minnetonka. Our mother died when we were only nine years old so we were raised by our father. Laura and I are the youngest of five children. We both went to school for approx. 18+ years. Both Laura and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Counseling and Psychological Services. We've both worked in the mental health field for several years doing a little of everything...The past ten years, I've focused on my passion for writing and am now a published author. I consider myself a very positive person. I'm a total Extrovert and Love Life. Speaking of loving life, I am a grateful lung cancer survivor. I currently live with my best friend who happens to be my identical twin sister. I am helping to raise her two beautiful teenage children, We have two black Lab dogs; Joey and Spooky. Interests Spending time with my twin sister, spending time with friends, helping to raise twin sisters children, playing with my two dogs, reading, writing, blogging, journaling, singing, listening to music, power walking, gardening, movies, cooking, ect ect...
Favorite Movies Horror movies that aren't gory but psychological, Romantic comedies, Psychological movies, Spiritual movies that make you really think. Some favorites include: The Secret Garden, Sixth Sense, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Notebook & the all time classic horror movie, The Birds, by Alfred Hitchcock.
Favorite Music I like all kinds of music-Rock, Country, Pop, jazz. Lately I love listening to smooth jazz when I'm on the computer or just hanging out at home & 80's music when I'm working out. A few of my favorite artists are: Sade, Nora Jones, Nik Kershaw, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Sinatra, Tears for Fears, Chris Rea, Michael Buble & James Taylor.
Favorite Books Same as favorite movies. I like Romantic, Psychological and Spiritual.

If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?

Well I'm not a pirate but I do know a lot about poop. I have 2 black labs (Joey&Spooky) that keep me busy cleaning it up and I'm not laughing. Side Note: Spooky, the younger dog, likes to eat her own poop. We have coined the term: "POOPSICLES"
