About Me

I am an applied educational psychologist living and working in Finland, where I have a daughter. I just completed a Master of Education degree in Inclusion, Special Education & Educational Psychology, in which I specialised in the specific educational and developmental difficulties faced by autistic adults from a psychological perspective (following closely the BPS DipEdPsychol syllabus). In addition to assessments and counselling, I also design and teach courses related to my professional interests. When I'm not busy with being a freelance psycho-educational consultant, consultant educational psychologist for the Finnish Autistic Empowerment Committee, Chairperson of Autistic People Against Neuroleptic Abuse... I teach English as a Second Language at a local adult education college. I'm also a solo performer (guitars/vocal), doing occasional troubadour-type gigs and I play drums in a blues band - The Blue Monsters. Audio track: my demo version of Sandy Denny's "Who Knows Where The Time Goes?", a favourite of mine and my dad's; he's in hospital, and will probably stay there until the end. He has a metastatised cancer. The song's there in his memory, for when he does leave us.

How tall would you be if you had never cut your fingernails?

John, ask a sensible question, man!
