Introduction I grew up with cardboard in my shoes, fighting with my twin sister, reading in trees, mainlining salmon and venison while not-so-secretly wishing for McDonalds. We were poor. I didn't know it, not until I realized my lunch tickets were a different color. In school, kids mocked me for reading while walking down the hall but not for wearing Goodwill bargains. Now I’m mother to a charming, seven-year-old deviant named Auggie. Unfortunately for him, I became chronically ill, thanks to some kid sneezing on his essay, giving me mono, which to led to chronic Epstein Barr, a virus that stole my energy and my mental stamina. But I'm back on the horse. Keep your eye out for the tv series based on my first novel, Smart Mouth, which has been optioned. Check out my consulting business, Lorincz Literary Services at literaryconsulting.com, or the books I've collaborated on, three of them due out next year, two already out. Talk about a mid-life career shift! Thank you, Epstein-Barr. Really. It's been quite a ride.
