| Introduction | My name is Nikki and I grew up in a small eastern Maine town, yes it is cold, and yes it is in the United States. Growing up I had to homes, one sister, and three step brothers. My sister is my best friend and I owe her everything I am today! Due to my parents’ divorce, my mother’s lack of coping ability, and my father’s absence she practically raised me. I don’t believe that there is anything I could to ever repay her for such sacrifices. In March 2006 I received a message on MySpace that would change my life forever. The message was from J my who is now my boyfriend. That July 4th we moved in together and have been living together ever since. In April 2007 I received a devastating, yet not too surprising diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, followed in July 2008 by an unplanned pregnancy. J is the most amazing man in the entire world through everything not once has he complained, not once did he wish things to be different. All he has done is given me his love and support; I thank God daily for sending him my way. |
