I adore the Dickensian character of Peggotty, the nurse and housekeeper of David Copperfield's childhood home. She embodies all the qualities I imagine a good wife, mother and homemaker should have - fierce loyalty, resourcefulness, and a talent at making things on the home front lovely and comfortable. This blog is dedicated to homemaking and literary references alike.
