| Introduction | I retired after being the only social worker in a 1200 student high school for 34 years. I have been sailing since I was 13 years old, raced on a friend's Morgan 27 in my early 20's and started enjoying cruising in my 30's. I used to sail with the family to Maine most summers. My most adventurous sail was a week or so of sailing with my 4 year old son from Glen Cove, NY to Plymouth, MA. (Single handing is nothing next to sailing with a 4 year old.) Apparently, I was a terrible influence on him as can be seen on: http://www.cruisingsabbatical.com/ His boat, a Pearson 365, has been sold. Our journey to the Bahamas which began October 4, 2011 ended when I returned the boat to its mooring in Glen Cove on July 1, 2012. Voyage 2 to the Bahamas started October 16, 2013 my cousin (by marriage) Gary, and a biking buddy of mine, John. |
