Introduction	Back home from Alaska for a year now, settled in. Currently I am teaching adjunct for my college in Barrow, for North Georgia Technical College, and later this semester for evening students at Piedmont College. .
Interests	Birding, Camping, National Parks, Arctic tundra, Water Color, Dogs-especially Wylie, Road Trips, Hiking, Wildlife, Painting, Memoirs, Novels, Plants, Bears, a Good Cup of Coffee, Barrow Alaska, Wild Flowers, Arkansas, Georgia, Blue Highways, Poetry, Southern Accents-ya'll--and Skyscapes--especially those on the horizon of a road that is new to me.
Favorite Movies	Favorite movies change often: old reliables--Raising Arizona, It's a Wonderful Life, The Last Picture Show, The Station Master, There Will Be Blood, The Sea Within, Brokeback Mountain, Edward Scissorhands, The Fisher King, and on and on.
Favorite Music	Leonard Cohen, Carter Family, Johnny Cash, Pogues, Waterboys, Emmy Lou, Iris DeMent, John Prine, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Rufus Wainwright, North Georgia Blue Grass, They Might Be Giants, Billy Bragg, Julie London, Ry Cooder.
Favorite Books	Currently reading Proust and enjoying it immensely--a reading made possible by the access offered by the Kindle--books are just to physically heavy otherwise! War and Peace; Weekend at Dunkirk; The Great Gatsby; Edisto; Rumi as translated by Colman Barks; Edna St. Vincent Millay's Collected Poems; Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove; John Irving's Garp; Collected Stories of Flannery O'Connor; The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion.
