| Introduction | One of the defining moments in my life came as a civil rights volunteer during the summer of 1971...I was active with Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer's Freedom Farm Cooperative in Ruleville, MS. We worked on the Farm and Voter Registration Drives in Sunflower County. Those early experiences inspired me to run for the Minnesota House of Representatives at age 25 in 1980...where I served two terms.I also served in several other government-related positions including Great Lakes Commissioner, President of the Duluth, MN City Charter Commission, and Television Moderator of "The Minnesota Legislative Report and "The Wisconsin Legislative Report." The Gustafson Report is a series of interviews with past and present decision-makers and is designed to be a resource for viewers seeking informed and objective analysis of key issues that impact the world. |
