"Lynneguist" is M Lynne Murphy, Senior Lecturer in Linguistics and English Language at the University of Sussex--though it must be said that this blog is my hobby, and so anything I say here is my view (at the moment I wrote it) and not necessarily the view of the University. The story so far...Lynneguist moved to the south coast of England in January 2000, having lived in the US most of her life and in South Africa for 4 years in the 1990s. Here, she's met her Better Half, made the shift from expatriate to dual citizen and become Mummy to baby girl Grover while teaching and researching in the fields of semantics, pragmatics and psycholinguistics. She should be writing the books she's contracted to write, rather than updating this profile.
