Introduction A friend taught me to crochet in high school. I always ended up giving away everything I made. The fun for me is in making things, and once they're done, I usually lose interest in them. Get them out the door and make room for more yarn, that's my philosophy! Hence the name, Yarn In, Yarn Out. The first blanket I ever made ended up giving comfort to a rescue cat. Who knew a handmade blanket could have so much power for good?! Once I heard there were charities that gave handmade blankets to children in need, it was a perfect fit for me. Since then, of course, I've found many charities that take handmade blankets, hats, scarves, pet beds--everything imaginable can go to comfort someone in need. I like working with high quality yarn, and I feel everyone deserves an heirloom quality gift. Plus, I get the fun of making it!
