| Introduction | We’re going to be very up-front with you. We are both the dumpers, not the dumpees. We don’t think that makes us villains. In fact, both of us ended our serious, lengthy (3 and 5 years) relationships because we were genuinely no longer happy – not because we got bored or became interested in someone else. And let’s be clear – this is NOT an epilogue for He’s Just Not That Into You (ugh). Still, if hearing from a dumper offends you, we apologize. We’ve just found that most breakup blogs are directed at dumpees (specifically women who are angry at men) and neither of us connected with that. We also think that dumpees might find something interesting here. In fact, we couldn’t find any blog with a candid, sane, Q&A approach to handling a breakup. This is why you won’t ever read about steps or phases of a breakup here, because if you’re not experiencing mixed emotions, well, then you’re lying. A few final words: No, we aren’t going to tell you our real names. Yes we’re both straight (we’re not sure that matters, though, except that it’s interesting for us to hear from the opposite sex). And, no, we’re not in love with each other. |
