About Me

About me... I am a freelance writer, a mother, an artist, and a Social Service Worker. I have had articles published in local community newspapers and I just love writing. My first book, Calcutta is Everywhere, is about spiritual poverty, loneliness and struggle. They are often right in our own country, our own communities, indeed in our own hearts. The work chronicles my own journey from despair to hope, and parallels this journey with those of others who have suffered much and moved beyond it to find transformation and joy. The book is currently under publisher consideration. As a single mother who struggles with Attention Deficit Disorder, I have to work especially hard to keep a healthy balance in my life. Presently, I am working on a new book about the challenges of mothering when it doesn’t come naturally, and the unique difficulties posed by having ADHD as a parent. Stumbling Through the Early Years is a candid, funny work about this humbling and sometimes very painful journey.
