Introduction	Lucianna (Lu) was born in 2010. At 2 weeks old, she was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). This is the story of her journey to recovery. She had a successful surgical repair on January 3, 2011 and has been doing fantastic ever since. Hopefully her story can give hope to other families dealing with CHD and help raise awareness about the most common birth defect, affecting 1 in 100 babies in the United States.
