Introduction	I am a retired elementary school teacher from the OC, now living in the "Inter-mountain Region" in Shasta County. I write a column for our little paper, the East Valley Times, and I want to be Erma Bombeck when I grow up. My husband built a studio for me to work in and I spend a lot of time there making artsy things that pop into my mind. I like to travel and I also read a lot.
Interests	Writing, Decoupage and collage, dogs, The Comedy Channel, Decorating and redecorating my home, Singing, Tap dancing, Reading, Gardening and Landscaping, and Traveling
Favorite Movies	Bandits, Flashdance, The Big Labowski, Fried Green Tomatoes, Bridges of Madison County, Fandango, Dirty Dancing, The Breakfast Club, Steel Magnolias, Ghost, Proof of Life, Fargo, Sordid Lives, City of Angels, and oh so many more!
Favorite Music	Leonard Cohen songs, not necessarily sung by him. Tom Petty, Journey (w/ Steve Perry), Bon Jovi, Matchbox Twenty, Don Henley, Broadway Show Tunes, Faith Hill, anything sung by a choir, Neil Diamond, Bob Seger, Linda Rondstat, Joan Baez, Rod Stewart, and also most country music.
Favorite Books	Everything written by John Irving, Ditto Dave Barry, also Pat Conroy, (The Great Santini and Beach Music are my favorites.) also Bill Bryson, The Saving Graces, by Patricia Gaffney, The Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, All of the Sweet Potato Queen books, Ann Tyler's books, and books that explore the possibility of past lives and reincarnation.

Avoiding? There is no avoiding the Big Head when one is famous!
