About Me

I am a 2006 graduate of Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL with a BA (magna cum laude) in History with minors in Economics and Geography. I enjoy military history, especially the Civil War and pre-1800 US military history. I am active in several organizations including: The Society for Military History, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, The Army Historical Foundation, The Lewis and Clark Society of America, The Intercollegiate Studies Institute, and Sons of The American Legion. I am also a member of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, Gamma Theta Upsilon Geography Honor Society, Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics honor society, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. I am attending the University of North Dakota pursuing an MA in History and serving as a Teaching Assistant. I hope to enter a Ph.D. program in both Military History and US History up to 1877 or law school. My career goal is to teach college and write books.
