After trying to teach middle school in the Bronx for two years I moved to the world of education policy (I'm currently pursuing my Ph.D. at Vanderbilt). My main interests lie in issues facing high-poverty, urban schools (e.g. teacher retention, discipline, school climate and culture, etc.), but I try to stay abreast of all the latest happenings.
