Introduction	I am a collector of Black Barbie dolls, Barbie dolls, fashion dolls and action figures. I had a large doll collection as a child that even included a black Francie and a Julia doll. Once I became older, I still loved dolls but didn’t play with them as much. One day, in a cleaning fit, my mother trashed all my dolls. I had not thought much about Barbie and the dolls I had for a long time. Then one holiday season I worked part-time stocking the Barbie isles in the old Kiddie City in Center City Philadelphia. I saw all the wonderful new Barbie dolls and the wonderful fashion dolls that were for sale. My love for Barbie was back! Now… I’m trying to replace the dolls I have lost and am adding a few new friends along the way. I have replaced my Julia. She is my favorite!! I don’t think I can afford an original black Francie yet. Maybe one day soon! I have a reproduction. There are some really great dolls out there.
