About Me

I am an Ethiopian by origin, residing in Seattle, Wash. I volunteer to work for betterment of the lives of the poor individual coffee farmers in Ethiopia and all over the globe. Using this site, I intend to track and document the dispute between Ethiopia and Starbucks over coffee trademark names. I also intend to research and analyze the initiative designed to utilize Intellectual Property to fomet economic development in Ethiopia. By doing so, I hope to contribute towards a transparent process that will benefit coffee farmers directly. I will do my utmost best to provide a balanced information, as I see it from my vantage point, to readers interested in the areas I am focusing on. I believe readers will benefit from the information I post on this site, including readers' comments and views regarding the "politics" behind coffee trade. I welcome comments and inputs.
