Introduction Hailing from the South Side of Chicago, Renita D. Young is multimedia journalist with a special interest in business news and entrepreneurship. She brings a variety of experience including international business news coverage from K24TV in Nairobi Kenya, TV production with My 50 Chicago and ABC7 Chicago, business development with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and consumer branding with leading public relations firm Edelman Chicago. After graduating with a BA in Communication and English from DePaul University in 2007, Renita’s enthusiasm to learn more about the industry led her to attend Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism for graduate school. As a freelancer, Renita currently contributes to two radio shows on WVON am 1690 in Chicago: BlackEnterprise.com and WVON’s weekly Urban Business Roundtable report hosted by Alfred Edmond, Jr., senior vice president/editor-in-chief of BlackEnterprise.com, sponsored by Ariel Investments, and the weekly African Diaspora Today radio show hosted by Dr. Carol L. Adams, sponsored by the University of Chicago Medical Center and Jewel-Osco.
