| Introduction | Born in New Jersey and raised in Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Marines 12 days after turning 17. He served in combat in Vietnam as an infantry squad leader with the First Marine Division and is a holder of the Navy and Marine Corps Combat Action Medal. He attended Brooklyn College as a pre-law student majoring in political science. A graduate of the New York City Police Academy, he worked as a police administrative aid with NYPD. Bob has also served as: GOP District Chairman, 1994-98; City of Glendale Housing Commissioner, 1995-99. In 2000,the GOP nominee for the Arizona House of Representative with endorsements by; Trent Franks, Sydney Hay, John Shadegg, the late Congressman Bob Stump, Arizona Consumers Council, Arizona Right to Life, Fraternal Order of Police , the NRA, and Gun Owners of America. A Precinct and State Committeemen in AZ since 1989. In 2010 Mr. Haran was one of three Republicans nominated by the Republican Precinct Committeemen of District 6 to fill a vacancy in the Arizona Senate. Mr. Haran is a member of; The American Legion, Calvary Community Church,and the National Rifle Association. |
