About me

Gender Male
Location Latvia
Introduction I lived in the United States for forty-six years (1949-1995), mostly on the East Coast, from Boston to Washington, D.C. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, I returned to help rebuild Latvia. During the Korean War, I served as a radio operator in the 1st Marine Division Headquarters Platoon. I consider myself lucky to have seen no combat, because I love life, and during World War II in Europe, but for a few feet this way or that, a piece of shrapnel or a bomb could have finished me off. I have spent much of my life thinking about peace and why it is so difficult to achieve. This blog is part of a book in progress. An earlier book deals with the end of self-sacrifice in Europe. You may read the book or order it on-line at www.thebequest.com Please sign the Request for Cloning form and become part of the Cloning For Peace effort.
