Introduction My love and curiosity for food originally began with an experiment between my best friend and I at the age of 9; upon reading some PETA literature I easily convinced her that we should become vegetarian. She whole-heartedly agreed, and the cheese sandwich lunches began. Around the age of 14, I converted to a vegan diet. Three years ago after again re-evaluating the food I consumed, I began researching the damage that can be caused by consuming an excess of gluten. I decided to begin lessening my intake of wheat/gluten from as well*...The journey continues from there, and I am constantly evolving in my cooking methods in order to pursue and use the most healthy, natural processes. I now only eat and cook with organic ingredients and avoid heavily processed foods as much as possible when traveling or dining out. My wish for this blog is to inspire and help others find a healthier path and alternatives to the Standard American Diet. *note: any recipe containing gluten will be clearly marked.
