| Introduction | I like to think that I'm a concerned citizen who is offended at injustices in the world like hunger, oppression, homelessness, and environmental degradation. Of course, I don't DO anything about it. I think I'm overwhelmed by the magnitude of the problems and think "What is the point?" I grew up Mormon and really appreciate the examples of dedication and faith that my ancestors showed crossing the plains and all, but as for the truth of the religion, or any religion for that matter, I'm firmly in the camp that this whole messed up glorious moment of life is all we have. And I'm okay with that. |
