About me

Location Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Introduction Originally an outdoor carpenter, Ross designed and built the first Iron Ukulele about six years ago in his backyard workshop. After five years of research and development, the Great Canadian Mush-uke was born. This affordable alternative to the Iron Ukulele was initially sold at craft fairs under the banner 'ROSBILT IRON RESOPHONIC GUITAR and MUSHROOM.' There is now a permanent display at 1207 Bloor St W (Bloor + Brock). Encouraged by the positve response for the Mush-Uke, Ross is able to realise a dream and build his guitars full time. He also has plans for full size six strings (iron, resophonic), slides and tri-cones. He lives in central Toronto with his French school teacher wife, Kitty, his three sons: Guinness, Kingsley and Hudson and his dog, a Brittany Spaniel named Maxie.
