| Introduction | After graduating from Washington College in 1985, I married my college sweetheart in 1989. I worked as a Counselor until I quit in 1991 to have my first baby. I began homeschooling her in 1995; she graduated last year. I am in my seventeenth year of homeschooling and am currently teaching my four sons, ages 8-18, several of which have special needs (autism, schizophrenia, epilepsy, OCD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia.) Some days our homeschooling has to work around my bouts of chronic myofacial pain, neuropathy, heart arrhythmia and more recently my diagnosis of breast cancer, but with flexibility and love it all manages to work for us. I am not a very crafty or creative person, but I love to find interesting ways for my children to learn. I am constantly searching for fun new things that really teach. I would like to share my finds with you. I try my best to give the appropriate credit, but if you see something that I have failed to give the proper credit, please let me know. Enjoy, and don't hesitate to leave a comment. It will make my day. |
