| Introduction | Allen became a Certified Rolfer in 1998 by completing requirements of the Rolf Institute. He also holds National Certification by the Board for Therapeutic Bodywork. Post graduate study in Italy and Germany at the European Rolfing Association has certified Allen as an Advanced Certifed Rolfer. Training includes CranioSacral work, visceral manipulation and spinal mechanics. Allen holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. His training and experience in those fields inform his work as a Rolfer in a unique way. Recently he completed a series of Visceral Manipulation trainings in Munich, Germany and continues with this line of training. This work is effective in releasing strains of the organs of the thorax and abdomen. He also continues study with The Upledger Institute in Craniosacral Therapy. In addition to his rigirous somatic training, Allen also practices yoga and meditation and is a performing and teaching AfroBrazilian percussionist.
