| Interests | Amanda Spencer was born and raised in West Lafayette, Indiana. She graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Tourism Management. While attending Purdue she worked for Marriott International in Indianapolis, Indiana and Lexington, Kentucky. Following her full-service hotel days, Amanda accepted the position of Event Manager for the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Her responsibilities included planning meetings and events for Chamber members, business leaders and State Officials throughout the Bluegrass state. With Amanda’s passion for people, it was inevitable she would expand her focus to weddings, anniversaries, and other social events. Her goal – to exceed expectations with details, frill, and fun! “I truly have the best job in the whole world. I love meeting with clients for the first time and sharing my enthusiasm and ideas with families who are about to plan emotional and exciting events that will create memories for years to come!” For the past five years, Spencer Special Events has produced flawless weddings and events throughout the Lowcountry.
