| Introduction | I have a crazy system of working; I split my life between the South of England and the South of Spain. My pottery is in a rural village south of the city of Granada where solitude, stone floors and the weather combine to help me create the pots. Commuting between the two countries works for me, I need to hook into the hustle and bustle of England, the bombarding of language and ideas and so it is here that I design and plan the work to bring back to my idyll. I am obsessed by my medium; I work along personal lines of creativity where it is usually the mistakes which turn out to be the best pieces. I am exceptionally slow at thinking and I am prone to be influenced by everything and everyone around me. I don’t own any of my own work except “My Little Pony”; a vase that didn’t sell in 2007 {archive pot no 1 below} and which later became too difficult to part with. |
