| Introduction | This is my 29th year of teaching. I was lucky enough to pick the right career on the first try (it is my vocation and my avocation). I have always been able to teach my favorite age of students -- 4th and 5th graders. I am currently a 5th grade Language Arts teacher. I belong to two book clubs. One reads mostly adult books with a few kids' books thrown in now and then (we are all teachers or former teachers). The other is this blog with Franki. You can also find me and my books on LibraryThing and GoodReads, and I Tweet (sporadically) as MaryLeeHahn. In 2002, I wrote RECONSIDERING READ-ALOUD (Stenhouse). I have poems in both the K-5 and 6-8 versions of The Poetry Friday Anthology. |
