Introduction As Assistant Professor, Legal Studies, I have helped to develop Peirce College’s first Criminal Justice Associate degree program. I joined Peirce's full-time faculty in 2011. I am a graduate of Temple Law School, where I earned my law degree and a Master of Laws in Taxation. I began my career at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office where I tried hundreds of criminal cases and motions that were litigated in the Municipal Court Unit, the Special Narcotics Unit, the Juvenile Unit, Felony Waivers, and Major Trials. I then took a position with the City of Philadelphia’s Law Department as an Assistant City Solicitor in the Major Tax Enforcement Unit. In this role, I litigated cases on behalf of the City of Philadelphia for nonpayment of taxes. I have previous experience as an adjunct professor in the criminal justice department of another local university, and am an active member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, where I was nominated Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors in 2011.
