| Introduction | Laura McGinnis is a graduate of American University, where she received an MA in International Communication in 2011. Like many people with an excess of bright thoughts tumbling about in their brains, McGinnis has experienced the impulse to place those thoughts in the public realm and fill a void in modern discourse. That impulse, alas, was matched and eventually trumped by the desire to cram herself into a crowded telephone booth. Upon further reflecting that phone booths are difficult to find outside museums and game preserves for endangered technologies, McGinnis decided the blogosphere was the natural substitute and is currently endeavoring to squeeze in without damaging any vital organs. |
