About Me

I have now spent more than half of my life outside my country of origin and have lived and worked in 7 countries. My mother language remains for me the language of mystery and wonder. It is the language in which I do not experience conscious “translation”. I feel I am endowed with the ability to find home in transitional spaces. I perceive movement in the transitions, in the duration of psycho -physical actions. Neither in one exact place nor in another. Rather in the “in-between”. Precision to me is revealed when I experience a full present. Neither past nor future. I identify it as physically existing somewhere between the ear and the eye. A beautiful dance moment for me is a moment in which the memory of a “past-ness” and the projection of a “futurity” melt. I am then “affected”. I wish my dances to do just that to the audience.
